Lets Get Ready to Rumble
Grissom's First Hike
9 Weeks
Week 9 has been a very busy week for Grissom. He went to the vet for his second set of shots. He did very well with all the pocking. He weighed in at 8.8 lbs and was a picture of health. We have been working on the house training and I am happy to say that he is really getting the concept. He has come up with his own version of asking to go outside, he will go to the window and stare outside. He is doing great with the clicker training and thanks to a few tips from Elizabeth Evans I now am doing better with it as well. His sit is great and he has one trick that he does really well. I will work on getting a video up.

8 Weeks
I have not been able to get the video posted to the blog, but here is the link to the 8 week video on youtube.
Grissom is doing great. He is learning his name, and doing ok with the house training. He is getting better every day with sleeping in his crate without screaming. He runs and plays in the back yard, following Riggs, even thru tunnels. Today he went thru the tunnel without following a big dog, of course I didn't have the camera out.

Grissom is home
Grissom is home. Grissom is home.
Last night he arrived with Nana Renee to the Happy Hounds show, she brought brother Bob (we STILL don't know his new name) and Grissom up from Shreveport. He was a very good boy last night at the show, didn't scream much in his crate while the show was going on. He was out a lot playing with Bob and his new friend Slider.
We got home from the show around 11:00 pm and he meet his new big brother Buster and sister Zoomer. They weren't sure what to make of each other, but did well with that first meeting. After a short play session it was time to get to bed. With a great suggestion from Em Grissom was in a small crate beside me on the bed with the sound machine playing a heart beat. He didn't really like the idea of the crate at first, but when the lights went out he decided that he was a sleepy boy. He slept through the night, awaking at 7:00am. What a good boy!
We have had a very busy morning already, he has had more introductions with house mates (Cutter, Gator & Cyclone), visits from friends (EE and JP) and a fun game of chase in the great big back yard. What a day already, and he gets to go back to the show for some more fun this evening.

Less then 24 hours to go
.jpg)

These are some pictures that Aunt Mawteen took of Grissom on our visit at 5 weeks. Man what a handsome boy he is.
Ok, so we are in the final count down. I can't believe that in less than 24 hours Grissom will be home. Seems like just yesterday we were all waiting for news that the pups were arriving.
